🔒 Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 2026.
At the **Device Size Comparison Tool**, we prioritize the security and privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information we collect (or do not collect) and how we use it.
1. Pure Client-Side Operation
Unlike other web applications that store device data on a remote database server, our comparison logic is **processed entirely inside your browser**.
When you use the "Calibrate (1:1)" slider, the pixel-to-millimeter ratio metric (`pxPerMm`) and the chosen device indices are kept locally in the browser memory state. No calibration details, monitor resolution metrics, or slider settings are uploaded to our servers.
2. Local Storage Usage
We use browser `localStorage` solely to save your design configurations and settings, such as your Light Theme or Dark Theme preferences. This caching ensures that as you navigate between subpages, your visual preferences are remembered. You can clear this cache at any time by resetting your browser cookies.
3. Web Server Log Files
Like standard hosting websites, our server logs internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamps, referring/exit pages, and click metrics. This data is strictly anonymous and is analyzed for traffic patterns and diagnostic security troubleshooting.
4. Third-Party Web Crawlers
We allow search engine crawlers (including Googlebot, Google-Extended, GPTBot, and PerplexityBot) to index our website pages to generate search records. These bots read the public static comparison pages and structured data.
